OK... Sometime in 09, maybe 2010 i plan on upgrading to a better amp.

Heres the problem. Tube amps not only cost an arm and a leg, but a testicle and 3 fingers. Seriously they are almost twice as expensive here than in america (and yes i did the conversions from US to AUD. For example: a valveking 110 costs $1000)

I'm applying to a few different places and hopefully I'll; have a job soon. Price limit is about $1500 AUD

Heres a few sites to help you get an idea of pricing.

http://www.onlinemusicstore.com.au/index.php?page=subcatDisplay&cat=GUITAR+GEAR (scroll down for amps)

I need it to be heard in a band
I'm willing to go used
I play rock and metal so i need mid to high gain.
Once again: Tube amps in Australia are expensive as ****.
DOES NOT HAVE TO BE TUBE!

Used Randall RG50tc. Definately enough gain and volume to be heard in a band. They've gone for $600 on Melband. You can get one new for $1100 though.

Epiphone Valve standard for $700, but you will need to put a dist/OD pedal in front of it. http://www.guitar.com.au/amplifiers/electric/epiphone/Valve-Standard.htm

Aren't they only 15 watts? i need it for clean stuff, i dont imagine 15 watts will sound very clean keeping up with a drummer.
