Can anyone recommend a decent amp under or slightly above £200?
it needs to be good for small gigs and i am not bothered about effects or anything like that. Solid state or tube i don't mind please give me your opinions!

is it loud enough for a gig?

Both are. I have gigged with the 5 watter a couple of times some years ago. But take the 15 watter to be sure. Remember though 15 watts in a tube amp is LOUD. But since it's so much less pricewise I would buy that too. The 10inch speaker should serve you better as well, and the option to bypass the preset voicings is really the best feature of the super. Though voice 4 one the vibro is very nice. These amps take OD pedals really well btw.

I just got it today, no clips yet but I'll put a few up soon. It sounds great, really warm. Can't believe the price of it, my mate had one and I ordered one straight away after hearing it. I'm gonna save up for a 6505 but this is a damn good amp.

laney vc15 maybe?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

That's crazily cheap.

Those White Horses are only tube driven in the preamp, just so you're aware.

Not saying that makes it bad necessarily, just in case it was glanced over by certain people

TS: I'd look into that Laney Dave recommended

Aye I'm aware of that

I'd rather that than the all tube amp I had that sounded like ass.
