i'm searching for a fuzz tone. The problem is, i only have $100, and it won't go up (i just got an expensive acoustic for christmas and my parents don't want me spending a lot more)

The tone i'm searching for is one similar to the one used on search and destroy by iggy pop and the stooges and jane by jefferson starship, but more of the one on the first

I'm going to buy a kit off of BYOC (plus my dad wants me to build a kit, so i'm almost gurenteed to get it this way) but there are 4 different kits each based of a different fuzz

they are based on a (links to the byoc site)mkII professional tonebender , a vintage fuzz face , a univox superfuzz , and an octave fuzz ala jimi hendrix
which one would be suite my needs? i know next to nothing about fuzzes

gonna need to look up those tracks you just mentioned, gimme a sec....

Well, uh, not sure on the Stooges track. Jefferson Starship, not sure if that's even a fuzz, for one thing.

Any, I hate to say this, more mainstream fuzz tones you could list as examples? info on the bands you list, a bit hard to locate.

I'll help you on this tomorrow, it's 3:30 here.

I'd have to look up that song as well.
