Hi ...

Im planning to get an M-audio fast track ultra 8r
(http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/shop/flypage/product_id/37657/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=base)

and was wondering if M-audio interfaces are good.
The company seems to have a good reputation in USB recording interfaces.
But is there anything I should be aware of ? .... has anyone had any bad
experiences with any of their USB recording interfaces ?.

Yes they're good. My friend has the M-Audio Fast Track Pro and it's very good but bloody hell, the one you're looking at is rackmount and everything! If you feel that you need something that massive then go for it, but something like the Fast Track Pro or the EMU 0404 USB would also be fine as they each have midi in/out and everything that you'd probably need anyway.

it looks decent enough...
HOWEVER
If I was going to get an interface with so many inputs I would suggest firewire so that they can record to different channels.
