no i get a good slash tone playing my first amp acoustically it's an electric guitar tho thats the only important part.

i have an epiphone sg, i couldnt afford a les paul. And i play it through a peavey valveking, use the slash cry baby, and play the same style. So it works out for me and I get a pretty similar tone
