the speaker on the left doesnt make any sound, no cracking, no hissing, nothing. dead silent.
does this mean my speaker is blown? or does it suggest something wrong with the input/wires that go to the speaker?

Desolder the lead wires to the speaker and measure the DC resistance with an ohm meter. If you get nothing, dead speaker. You should get between 4 and 32 ohms, prolly will be either 8 or 16 though.

What happened prior the the speaker not working? What did you do?

no guitar cab speaker. i can't really remember it ever working. i believe it to be the jack because when on the mono setting, both speakers are silent, but when i switch to stereo and plug into the other side, that speaker works just fine.

but nothing happened to it, just suddenly decided to not work.
