go to crucial.com
it will scan your system and find the right ram for you
then google the ram it suggests to find the best price
you should be able to install it yourself unless you are an idiot

How old is your computer? What type of RAM do you have now? and are you planning on upgrading it again in the future?

First of all, you can't add more than 1GB (2x512MB) since your specs say "Maximum Memory Capacity: 1048576 MB", and I'm pretty sure it's 184-Pin DDR SDRAM.

EDIT: I can't find your motherboard info. It's possible it could also be 168-Pin SDRAM.

Okay.. what does this mean
And if I bought a 1 gig card, would it still work even though it would boost my ram up to 1256, but the 256 wouldnt work or would i have to get rid of the other card

that basically means it isnt worth upgrading at this point...

Try to upgrade your computer every 2 years to save money in the end and keep running fast.
a 5 year old machine isnt worth upgrading. Look on slickdeals.net for a new desktop or get a cheap one there and upgrade that.

if you paid any attention, you would know, the computer forum gets alot of posts.

Alright but why isn't it worth upgrading? I can play css and such on this but if i had 1 gig it would be much better to play, instead of wasting 500+ on a new computer/laptop i could spend 50 on a ram card..

First off, Ram STICK.

Second, Its old. To old. It would be a waste of money.

Whatever, but why would it be a waste of money, its not like the ram STICK isn't going to work.. is it?

This is a pretty good ram upgrade.
In heaven, all interesting people are absent.
