Hey everyone.

I recently got new strings put on my guitar. They're fine, except for when I bend the high "e" string on the 13th-17th frets. I can bend them a bit, however when further bent they produce a percussion-like sound.

Does anyone know the problem?

Are youre strings hitting the pickup? That will cause a "pop" as well as kill the note.

if you changed the guage of your strings it's a good possibility all you have to do is get someone who has a little experience with tweaking guitars and get him to set up the bridge right, because if you have your action set too low it will kill your bends after a certain point, i had the same problem with my hondo...

yes... but there are other adjustments you can make to the bridge, most of it's done on the individual string heights...
