make sure the tone knob on your guitar or the volume knob on your guitar is the same as it was
#3
yep, everything is the exact same, sitting in same spot also.

Is the volume knob on the amp the same? Different frequencies are more prominent at different volumes - changing the volume knob will affect your tone.

amp stays on 2, i've tried a planet waves cable, fender and a macron music (local shop product).

I've been playing acoustic for 2 hours. My amps tone just went really dull and lifeless.

Try turning all the knobs on the amp just a little bit, and make sure they are still working... Turn the amp off an on (obvious answer, but w/e)... uhh, make sure nothing is damping the speaker?

This is kind of a freak way for an amp to die...

Maybe i should sell it before it Dies >.<!

edit - naa i can't do that, i love the thing! it does blues and rock so well!
just gotta wait for my pedal to boost it into metal.

I brought it used and the guy said bout 2 weeks, it is pretty much brand new, not a scratch, full orange colour, nothing faded. I've had it round 2-3 months i think.

also is it normal for a SS to pop when you turn it off :s?

I don't think I've ever really heard an amp that doesn't do some sort of pop when it's turned off

I haven't exactly heard a million amps in my life though, so w/e

Yeah, nvm, my frontman pops when it's turned off too (no reverb) And it's in good shape. Now that I think about it, alot of SS's do. I don't think you should worry about it too much.

why in the hell would you boost a solid state amp... it would sound like an old guy farting loudly. BOOSTING signifies loud

SS = LOUD = NOOOOO

Clearly you've never played a Sunn Beta Lead.

OP, perhaps it's time to upgrade? Maybe it's just one of those days when the magic ain't happening? I know some days I think my tone is a pile of ass and other days it's the best thing ever.

Could be psychological.

Your tone tends to sound better to you after you haven't heard it for a while.
