Ok so here's the story, ive been playing guitar for a while and ive wanted to own a bass. Well in my woodshop class at school my teacher will let me build one but the only problem is i need to buy the wood. thats not the problem tho its just what kinda wood should i use to build it with? What wood is good for a bass, is durable, and doesnt cost an arm and a leg to buy? Aside from the wood i think i got the rest of it since ive already got the build and finish planned out.

I might post up pics of it every now and then of its progress just for you all too see maybe.
You know you're loved when someone breaks a guitar over your leg and everyone's more concerned about the guitar than you.
