I'm looking for a half stack, i prefer the sound of 4 speakers rather than 1 or 2 and it allows me to change parts of the amp in the future rather than it all.

The options i'm looking at are the:
Peavey Valveking
Bugera 6262
Bugera 333

Anything else to suggest?

Ideally don't want to spend more than 350 on the head.

I'm playing mainly heavy rock (Think Coheed, Smashing Pumpkins) but i'd like the amp to be quite versatile

Thanks

I've heard that the bugeras are pretty shoddy quality. Some of them might have no problems, but some break down after like 1 week. I'm not sure but you might wanna look up on that.

Do you actually know anything about Bugera's or are you just jumping on the bandwagon?

the 6262 is an exact clone of the peavey 5150 II/6505 +
the 6260 is a clone of the 5150/6505
the 333 is a clone of the XXX (BUGERA'S worst amp, imho)
the 333xl is a clone of the peavey Joe satriani sig the JSX

the only difference of these amps to their peavey predecesors is the quality
Bugeras have poor reliability and will mostly break down in 2-4 weeks if your lucky then it would last you for months.

TS If your going to buy a Halfstack one under 1000 is probably going to suck. Really.
I suggest saving more money if you are so set on one.

For 350 just get a peavey xxl. its solid state but sounds great
