I must say I love Geezer Butler (of Black Sabbath)'s tone, unfortunately he used expensive amps with ridiculously expensive basses (laklands, extremely overpriced).
I also love Timmy C's, who doesnt?

Laklands are not overpriced, they are worth every penny.

And famous bassists? As in just bassists? (excluding say... Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney, etc), don't think they exist other than Flea and I dislike him.

If we are referring to the basswork in songs of famous artists (this is more likely), I love the bass in Sophie Ellis Bextor's songs.

I got a tab for Murder on the Dancefloor in a magazine the other day

Guy Pratt played on it, it's got a great bassline

My favourite bassists tone is probably Dirk Lance, but hes far from being a celebrity

Are you just going straight from the magazine?

I have no bass in my headphones or computer speakers, so I've started tabbing it out into guitarpro

and it means i can make it slow

In the death metal scene probably Eric Langlois or Steve DiGiorgio.

However, in the more 'conventional' scene, Jaco, Bootsy, and if I was famous, Myself. Hah!

much of Wostlenholme in Muse.

I've always liked the basic concept of Jack Casady's tone, with more punch and clarity to it, it could be pretty close to what I want.

Matt Maust has a pretty nice tone in Saint John, great for the song. (Cold War Kids)

Just checked the website, and no.

I live in TJ, it could take me one hour to get to the states and buy the magazine, but right now I don't have a passport, have to wait a month or two.
