Hey UG comunity, I'm a self taught guitarist that has really neglected learning some of the real important **** that you need to learn, like playing all of the different chords and stuff,(I can play basic stuff like your A,C,D,E a simple F and G, can't play B and most minor chords and stuff like that) I missed so much stuff out just cause I wanted to get to a point where I could play, which I did, and now I can play a certain amount of stuff pretty well.

Basically I'm determined to learn the complete ****, Barr chords, minors, alternative chords all kinds of everything, very importantly notes and scales, my knowledge of scales and the neck could be vastly superior to what it is now (I can't believe I'm telling you all this).

Basically, is it realistically a realistic target to be able to learn all this stuff without a teacher, off my own back?????

im exactly the same. i just wanted to do fun stuff so i learnt how to sweep a 6 string e minor arpeggio before i actually learnt an e minor chord. You can learn easily with the help of the internet. These are some of the sites ive used, just to help you:

google anything else you need to know

If Varg had any sense of humour, he'd open the album with a cover of Superstition.

get a program called chordwizard gold 2.0, it has pretty much every chord and scale, and it shows what chords and stuff work with certain scales, and alternate chord shapes and sh*t, it's awesome if you're self-teaching

It's easy enough to teach myself all that then?
