i know i can't get the tone but a Fender Frontman 212r and Fender Starcaster. I need good settings for ACDC. yes i tried the amp settings thread, and yes i fumbled with it, and yes i googled, and nothings getting me anywhere close. also stupid quesiong but what is "gain"?

On my clean channel theres only, mid, treb, bass, volume, and reverb. ON distorition channel theres ditortion, volume, bass, mid, treb and reverb. I also have an old Boss DS-1 pedal.

Please help.

Ummm....I hate to dissapoint you, but aren't getting it with a Frontman and a Starcaster.

You need a tube amp, or a distortion pedal, and a guitar with humbuckers.

To get PERFECT AC/DC tone, you just need to steal Angus Young's gear.

"Gain" is your Frontman's excuse for digital overdrive. Basically, on that amp, it's just a big fizzy mess.

And I can bash Frontman amps because I have one.

true ac/dc (malcom/angus) relays on tube distorsion so its not happening thith a solid state

maybe if you get a soft fuzz/distorcion pedal

Sorry for my bad spelling

Guitar : Fender CIJ Mustang and a Telecaster
Amp : 76 fender champ
Pedals : BBE green screamer, Big muff, Ibanez LU20 Pedal Tuner, boss loop pedal

okay, try this:
bridge pickup on the guitar -> DS-1 set to tone around 1:00 and gain around 3:00 with the level wherever you want -> clean channel of amp with the bass around 12:00, mids around 2:00, and treble at like 1:00. Put the reverb barely above off, and then turn the volume up as loud as humanly possible. Then tweak everything out as much or as little as possible.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite
