Right now I drive a 1994 nissan sentra and i only use to go to pasadena and back to san diego for culinary school. Its only a temporary car and by the end of the year i wont need it so i was wondering what car i should buy. I want something that has a good amount of horsepower but yet something that looks good. I was thinking about a 2004-2008 Cadillac Cts-V or a 2005-2008 corvette. what else would the people of the pit suggest
my price range is about $20,000 to $30,000

Damn I would go for the CTS-V just for practicality. My dad has one and it is exhuberant. So much torque and in black it just looks impressive. The Corvette IS a pussy magnet, so that's my view and you shall decide! GL!

EDIT: MMHMHMHMH on the other part....Tempest's suggestion does look interesting....maybe you should just forget what I said and groom dogs!

You should get one of the new Maximas. Those things are sexy as hell, and pretty powerful.

Not as much as anything with an LS engine in it, but much more fuel efficient.

Right, but he did say San Diego and Pasadena right?

TS are you planning on letting Hakkinen drive or something?

IF YES, THEN AUDI FTW!

EDIT: In reference to the AWD thing, mhmh I'm not sure. I would think so, since the new G37's come in X flavor...

Oh yea lol. No snow in that neck o' the woods.

Well still, for fuel efficiency the Maxima wins. Although the Caddy/Vette will get more pussy.

i dont mind spending money on gas, i wouldnt mind anything european also

If gas isn't an issue, than go for a V8. I prefer a classy ride so I wouldn't get a caddy or a vette. Sure they are sexy, but I'm a fan of European style.

Also, vettes are everywhere. Of those two I would get the CTS-V

Not a corvette. Thats an old person car.... its what a lot of men buy at their mid-life crisis. Trust me. When ever you see a Corvette look the driver... theyll usually be a guy whos atleast late thirties-early 40s....

True story. My dad got one as part of his mid life crisis. Right after he died his hair yellow and bought a leather jacket.

Go for something a bit older and foreign. Something like a Porsche 944 or a VW Corrado. The 944's should be pretty easy to come across out by California. I don't know about Corrado's out there. The 944's has a 3.0 liter that got around 250hp and was one of the fastest cars of its time.

I'm a sucker for German engineering, so mine is a pretty biased opinion.
