Ok, so I got a Starcaster for free that I'm gonna half cannibalize, half make intoa showpiece guitar. One part I really wanna know about it the truss rod. Is it possible to remove the truss rod without tearing off the fretboard? Perhaps with a holesaw on top? thanks in advance guys.
why? if it's a good neck, no use ruining it, and if memory serves me starcasters have pretty good wood. (well wood working, they're probably plywood or somthing though) but no no way to do it without ripping the fretboard off.
why would you remove the truss rod?
i got to play a starcaster with a maple neck. it was superior to a mim fender strat. anyways, dont take the truss rod out, theres no reason to. also, you would have to take off the fretboard.
