Order a Peavey Vypyr from a store in Australia. The shipping will be dirt cheap.

at least not in my area, and i'm not going second hand.

Yes they do sell Peavey in New Zealand.
Do you actually bother looking properly?

Music Works = Ibanez, Peavey, Vox, Randall, ENGL, Hi Watt, Hughes and Kettner, blah blah blah
Rockshop = Fender, Marshall, Mesa, Bogner, Line 6, Bugera/Behringer, Roland, Crate, Ashdown, Blackstar, blah balah blah

EDIT:

Christchurch Music Works = 569 Colombo Street, Christchurch

Christchurch Rockshop = 166-168 Manchester Street, Christchurch

Go for a bit of a drive next week.
P.S

If they don't have any of the brands you want in stock (i.e. peavey) they can order them in. Because they have a lot of peavey in Hastings and Napier Musicworks.

I found the Vox Valvetronix range way too loose sounding for metal. If you didn't like the Roland Cubes, I don't think you'll like the Valvetronix'.

First off:

Stop making lots of threads about amps
stop triple posting.

And as I said - They can ORDER THEM IN

I find it hard to believe that Christchurch has no Peavey's in the Musicworks shop because my friend just bought a Peavey XXX on Tuesday from Musicworks in Christchurch.

and i also find it hard to believe because they make most of their money from selling Peavey's. Look harder or ask them to order the amp in.

Ok sorry don't slap me, i've made so many thread cause ever bloody amp is try doesnt suit..

liek honest, i've been to the rock shop music works and music planet liek millino times, tried heaps of pedal and nothing is fine!!!
#30
Then maybe those amps aren't for you.
What was your budget exactly?

And you should just find time that you can sit in a store and play with the amps you look at - this means tweaking things like EQ etc to get a proper feel for it.

It's always harder to judge how good an amp is from playing like 1 minute.

Even with ENGL I personally had to sit down and EQ it the way I liked it (although it already sounded amazing, just thought it could give much more then it was)

How much is your budget?

If you're not getting what you want from amps in you budget then you've no option but to save until you can afford an amp that DOES give you the tone you want.
#32
alright my budget is only about 500, i only want a small 15 watt amp so it should be fine?

oh i'll do what you said,

I'm gonna go sit down with a few amps and try them out
thansk for the help,

that will be the last of my threads for now.
#33
Can we know what kinda metal you like, TS?

And I'm still saying Microcube. It's a shame you don't have peavey's there. Maybe a small Fender tube like a Blues Jr. or something with a pedal? Dunno how well that would work out though.
