Hey,

I've got a problem with playing my elec guitar. When ever i play the electric my right/pick-holder arm gets tired ( I think from having to hold up my arm to hit the strings.) This doesn't happen when i'm playing the acoustic. I think its because the bigger body of the acoustic gives me some where to rest my arm on. This is annoying coz everyone knows that u gotta stop playing immediately if u feel any pain or discomfort.

Does anyone know how to help me?

Thanks

Tired =/= pain/discomfort.

Unless you're actually feeling pain, you should keep going. Whenever a muscle is being exercised more than usual, it feels tired.

tired is good, pain isnt...so yea stop and stretch a lot, more than you think you need too!

edit: stop when you feel pain. you can do serious damage if you dont and esp. if u havent stretched out....

Tired means it maybe getting stronger when u push urself,

or you may be locking ur arm in place and there for restricting yourself

Or anchor with your pinkie if you have to.

In my opinion, that's not a good habit to develop - its cuts down on your freedom of movement, because you have to work around the pinky which is attached to the guitar.
