I'm thinking of applying to study medicine at Uni. I know it's hard and long but it seems to be the only viable option for me. I was just wondering if there are any medical students (or those who have finished and are specialising) and how did they find/ are finding the course/Uni, what did you guys do to apply, how did you get through the interviews etc. and for those specialising in becoming a GP, is it worth it?

oh oh if there are any squeamish ppl who still dared to take medicine please post ur stories lol

I'm not expecting a lot of answers since you guys are always busy but ehhh

lol your not specializing in a GP, for the first 10 years, you get your GP, then you specialize in respitory, soft tissue specialest, really wierd stuff, there is a endless amount of stuff you could specialize in, maybe you could do hearing seeing as your a guitarist, maybe get that and help other musicans who have bad ears, maybe invent a good ear plug that is meant for playing shows and practising with a band?

Well I'll probably be a medical student to next year and have talked to alot of students. They said that it's not too difficult as long as you find the course interesting, apparently a lot of students who fail are the ones who are lazy (duh) or who weren't sure if they wanted to do medicine or were pushed by their parents. That's all I can tell you ATM.

Diepenbeek... It's a different system, but I like it. And I'm going to Leuven in my 4th year anyway, so best of both worlds, eh?

Well, I'm in the UK and after going on medlink the ppl there told me that after around 8 years you can become a GP and then specialize in stuff (sorry ended up using the wrong words..result of too little sleep).
