the 15g is godawful, no redeeming qualities whatsoever. even if not a Cube or Vypyr, I would have loved to have a Spider or MG instead...

As for me, my friend's low end First Act into some really bad Peavey amp.

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-Audition-Electric-Guitar-Amplifier?sku=481335

Might have been that. I dunno, but it doesn't stay in tune and the amp has no tone whatsoever.

Worst amp:

A Mesa tripple rectifier through a marshall 1960A. I know this should have sounded fine, but it sounded like both the tubes and the speakers were shot. The leads sounded like farting in a can, with chunks of **** at higher volumes.

Worst Guitar:

Tried a $500 Epiphone SG and the frets stuck out so much I cut my hand and bled on it. That's worse than the $80 guitar I started with.

i have to agree, my friend has one of these and he uses it for blues and classic rock and its fizzy and thin. i kid played an mg next to it and they were almost equal. but this is because my friend is stupid and bought an 100 watt head for highschool auditorium gigs, i think if we could actually move the master volume past 1.5 the amp will open up and sound worlds better. but from clips i am still not too impressed, i liked the vintage modern much more

Collins St-100. Cheapest guitar in Europe. 69 euros. Easily the worst I've ever played.

As for amps, I was really disappointed by the ENGL screamer. I thought it would kick more ass than Bruce Lee's right leg. The clean sounds very horibly thin and piercing. The overdrive had a gritty texture that reminded me of the sound of an old man clearing his throat. Usually, a good tube tone inspires me to play. This one made me ashamed. I turned it off, unplugged my guitar and left.

I'd like to think there was something wrong with it, but it was brand new, and it was in a good store, with plenty of tube amps. Maybe I was the first to play it?

New Gibsons are so overpriced, terrible quality control. Most play terrible. Every once in a while you get one that shines.

The Gibson name =/= good.

Amp- Squier 10 watt amp HORRIBLE

Guitar- Gtx. It looked nice with a natural walnut stain. They wanted you to think it was walnut but it was not. Had a horribly thin non locking tremolo constructed of an unidentified metal that was constantly out of tune. Looked the part but never could get it to sound that good even with pickup upgrades. Very thin neck , too thin. I had a MIJ Squer guitar before that that was much better.

My mate's £100 guitar and amp he got from Argos. The amp makes MGs sound amazing... that's how bad it is. And on clean it just sounds like it's not there, just louder. Everything sounds like a fart, and the guitar itself is unplayable and untunable. Picks up just about everything else but the strings. There's a massive buzz when the bar goes across the strings. Most horrible guitar ever.

EDIT: Another thing to say how bad the guitar was that the action is soo high that it put every stoner in the world to shame... really
