I need to get new tubes for a fender bandmaster, will my old tubes from my 6505+ work?

4 6L6GC power tubes, and 6 12AX7 preamp tubes.

will those be fine?

edit: Will a fender bandmaster work for hard rock/metal if I use an OD with it? JCM800s have a classic rock sound as well but they can be used for metal when an OD is used.

as long as the tubes work it should be fine. although i dont remember what a bandmaster uses, its probably 2 6l6s and 3 or 4 12ax7s. i dont really remember though.

The Bandmaster is a clean amp, as with 90% of Fender amps. An OD will not make it sound metal.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

For metal you might be better off a distortion pedal like the Digitech hot head or similar.
Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II(
"Epicaster" pimped out strat
Fender Blues Jr.
DeltaLab RD1 Rock distortion
Barber handmade USA Direct Drive Overdrive
DeltaLab Stereo chorus
MXR 6 band EQ
