for the price you could get a really nice setup (minus amps) and not have to worry about software. correct me if im wrong but i believe it needs to be hooked up to the computer to work...for studio that might be ok but for live it would be really limiting.

Even without the software, it's incredibly expensive. Icdon't think Amplitube sounds good enough to warrant it, to be honest. Plus, they can't avoid the fact that USB cables are limited to a max of 5m in length, so it'd be useless for bigger stages....

Now if Virtual Amp Room had a live mode and a foot controller, I'd happily consider taking a laptop to smaller gigs....
