the 15 watters aren't that bad, get off the fucking bandwagon already

If you like the spider series of amps- i have a spider 2 75 watt. I like it alot better than the spider 3's. You can get those for < $200 and theyre loud and sound good. Maybe you could get some new pups

Look on eBay or craigslist and find something decent for that. I once saw a Gibson ES-335 on Craigslist for $300

Personally, I'd get a new amp.

Used Peavey Classic 30.

He doesn't really have the cash for that, nor would it meet his needs.

But +rep for the Agile.

I recommend a Vox AD series. You could get the 30W new or go for the 50W used.

I have a thread almost exactly like this even the same amount of cash to spend, but really that amp does suck you should definately get a new one. I'm probably going to go out tomorrow and get a Peavey Vypyr 75watt amp, seems to be the favorite for this price range.
Gear:
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Peavey Vypyr 75w
Yamaha FG730S
Peavey Predator
1961 Acoustic Kay
Classical Rhapsody
Zakk Wylde Crybaby Wah Pedal
Boss SD-1

You can get a used Classic 30 for 300
I'd also recommend used Crate Vintage Clubs, Palominos, and Crate V Series amps
and also used Laney AORs and used Peavey VTMS

Well you have to tweak at it a bit , but you can get some pretty good verbs , decent delay , chorus. I just use it for verb, I like the plate settings. But for the price its really hard to beat. I paid $20.00 bucks for it on ebay. Way better than a Behringer for $25.00 bucks. As a matter of fact way better than alot of the pedals out there. I use my channel switching pedal from my Crate VC3012 to turn it on and off. For any guitar player on a budget the little Nanoverb is a great choice. And its stereo !!!
