My friends and I were jamming the other day, and i think we might finally have found something. We were sort of jamming, doing some hardcore(real hardcore, not metalcore, etc.) drums and such, and our guitarist kicked in some sick riffs. i usually play bass and sing, but i gave our rythym guitarist, who plays a little bass, my bass. I sort of began doing hardcore vocals(I guess Black Flag- Henry Rollins-ish?), which isn't really my normal vocal style, but after awhile, it changed to almost rapping. We jammed off this for awhile, and it turned into a song of heavy guitars, hardcore-sounding drums, and rapped vocals. Having heard the term "Rapcore" thrown around a little, i think we might have nailed it. However, ive also heard bands completly unrelated to this style(stuff like Beastie Boys, Korn and even 3Oh!3 referred to as "rapcore").

lazy: Me and my band think we might have written a rapcore song, what are some good rapcore bands/songs to listen to?
Arbor A410 Bass
Dinosaur 20 Watt Bass Amp
Line 6 Spider III 75 Watt
Squier Bullet

Excuse me sir, have you been thinking tonight?

You're a ****ign 08'er like me... What the **** is your problem? Are you trying to fit in or do you think it makes you look cool? Answer the ****ing question or GTFO.

Suggestions: HED P.E or Limp Bizkit (I'm pretty sure rapcore is same as raprock?)

Seriously, not even one good suggestion yet.

EDIT: my bad, except Furious Styles

Listen to some Cold World.

Also, the Beastie Boys are only called rapcore sometimes because they used to be a hardcore punk band.

e town concrete? idk if they count

The only appropriate answer here is Boxcutter. That band is plain and simply rapcore and I love them for it.

http://www.myspace.com/boxcutterbfl

'Fuck the East side! Fuck the West side! Boxcutter wrecks this shit worldwide!'

Edit: E-Town Concrete is also acceptable as is Bio Hazard.

Although they might not be considered rapcore, Rage Against The Machine could be great for inspiration. I consider them more of a powerhouse/statement rock kind of band, but Zach De La Rocha sure does do some rappin'.

E-Town Concrete's the best Rapcore band out there IMO check them out at myspace.com/etcrapcore

Also Biohazard is another good band.

RATM is an amazing example
so is boxcutter
also, HED p.e. wolud be a good place to start

i know im not the ultimate authority on this or anything, but a lot of these suggestions are ridiculous
311? seriously?
i hope you're kidding, they mix a lot of styles but hardcore isnt one of them...
not trying to be a dick
i actually really like 311
bought the eponymous album last month

and definately NOT 3Oh!3
also a good band; nowhere near rapcore

Yea the only well know Rapcore bands would be RATM and Biohazard(If they're even well known)
#16
Beastie Boys sometimes get tagged as rapcore because they started as a hardcore band, and have some rap + rock songs.

RATM, Biohazard and E-Town Concrete are all examples. Anthrax have a few songs that might fit as rapcore...

Look into the New York Hardcore scene, there's probably more rapcore that's just a bit obscure.
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.

Cold World, some Ramallah, Icepick, Danny Diablo has that element. I don't think "rapcore" is the same as raprock so stop saying limp bizkit haha

I saw them a few weeks ago, JJ said that his band has helped him with the writing an awful lot and they turned his idea into something brilliant.

Shit band, fun as live.

Furious Styles. Listen to them.

Oh lord, how I despise them. All the scene bitches drool over their nuts.
I've known that Albuquerque was/is a toxic dump, but I never imagined that something this putrid would arise from here.
Once the "scene" has fallen apart (and become reconstructed into something equally horrendous), these people will have nothing.
