Basically I changed all my strings except for B. And my tuner says that its an A(5th) string and the string is really tight. I've changed lots of strings before but this never happened.

Should I just tune it past A and see if it works?

sounds like you've waaaaaay over-tightened it and you gone nearly an octave up

I think they sell them singulary in some places. After all, you break the strings one at a time most of the time, don't you?

I'd say try tuning it up, if you're sure you haven't done anything wrong, and if it snaps either get a new string, or put it down to experience and open a new set. I hate opening a new set for one string though!

You can buy single strings.
Also you can tell if its too high pitched cant you?
If its really damn tight, loosen it.
You cant break it loosening it.
I never change just 1 string unles the set is like a few days old.

Yea but I went pass A anyway and it went to B and it didn't snap. Thanks UG community for the feedback!
