Hey, I was just wondering if you new any guitar makers websites or stores that have some left handed guitars beyond the standard guitar center stuff. The only place I know right now is southpawguitars.com. do you guys know any others?

Thanks, I haven't ever seen any of those. Anyone else know about a website? And would the SX guitars be any good if I upgraded them a bit?

They're decent from what I've heard but their Agile line is golden, I can personally justify that. They're not the best ever but they're a whole lot cheaper compared to what the price for the same specs under another brand name would be in the rest of the market.

No problem. Their Agile Les Pauls seem to be 95% worth it for the people who've bought one. I personally would like one to avoid using my Elitist. She's my jewel if you get my drift ^^

I have a Flying V from Agile with EMG707(81/85 Active EMGs for 7 strings), and there are the lefty versions if you are into that. Feel free to PM if any more questions or doubts arise. I'll read tomorrow in the morning. Peace.

If I were left-handed, I'd buy a right-hander, string it upside down, and maybe file the body down a bit so my hand could reach the upper frets. And possibly flip the pickups.

But yeah, as many have said, Rondo has some really nice guitars that are pretty cheap for what they are. But I still stick by what I originally said. Hell, part of me actually wishes to be left-handed, just so I could do that

I've seen these guys advertising in Vintage Guitar. (Sorry, didn't notice you'd already looked at them)

Ed Romans is famous, and has a decent stock of leftys...but many of them are high-end.

I've heard of these guys too, but don't recall where.

From what I understand, Carvin offers lefty models of all of their guitars.

why not buy a left handed guitar and than flip it over

First off, i would like to say hello to a fellow lefty.

Don't listen to people saying to flip righty guitars.

only some can be done and still have same access. and even then it is a pain.

the sites already mentioned are quite good.

i used to flip a righty, believe me it is much easier to just get a lefty. Unless its a perfectly symmetrical guitar like an SG its just a major pain

Musicians friend has a place to click for all their lefty guitars. And playing righties strung upside down is just a pain.

Flip a righty SG, that'd make you cool.

They are not perfectly symmetrical, one horn is slightly displaced for better fret access.

Another site- well, a particular builder: Reverend Guitars lists specifically which of their models are available in lefty.

Does Carvin really make all their guitars with a lefty option? I wish I'd known this sooner..

edit: ah, never mind, they have such a small body selection, reminds me of a fender catalog.

Hello fellow Lefty!!!

Check out my profile for some of the leftys I have. (including an Agile!!!)

I have had a couple lefty guitars, and here is what I found. Flipping a righty over is a PITA, and never seems to sounds/play as good (however I found a Fender Strat for a steal of a deal that I am considering flipping to get the Hendrix look )

My Agile is my favorite guitar to play. I also own a Dean ML FBD Tribute, that costs 2-3 times as much, but I still like the Agile.

You wont be disapointed with an Agile

Well, they may not appeal to you, but I think they're nice.

Anyway, I just checked their website- if you go to their order form, there is indeed a "lefty" option.

Perhaps Deans are more to your liking? Just click on "Products" and look for the "Leftys" link. (I love Deans, FWIW- just not the "pointy" ones.)

+1.

He rips people off, steals ideas, and just isn't a "real" person. I would go with Rondomusic or Warmoth.
