...what bands/tours/shows would you go back in time to see?

My top three would be:

Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town tour (1978)
The Who - Who's Next tour (1971)
Black Sabbath - some time in 1970 or 1971

Let's hear 'em

System of a Down - Right after Toxicity and before the Mesmerize crap

That was the tour. Halfway through they stopped touring with them for obvious reasons.

Why are so many people naming bands that you can easily go and see in the present day? Go back and check out some Paganini, you plebians.

I thought about that. But not only Beatles! I would sell Like A Rolling Stone to Beatles and Stairway To Heaven to and Strawberry Fields Forever to early Pink Floyd!

I would **** up the world of music!

(Maybe someone already done that?)

I'd do what you guys said and sell the songs to Beatles and other bands, but hell, I'd also take songs from other bands and perform as my own. I'd be king.

Woodstock. Although if I had a time machine, seeing concerts would be a little down the list from things like, say, seeing if Jesus was real or not.

Dream Theater live at Budokan

But its on DVD....

besides, their Chaos in Motion DVD has shown some much better recent performances. I love Live at Budokan, but there's not much energy imo, they just kinda stand there.
The "Once In A Livetime" shows would be good to see, especially the one where Myung tackled LaBrie

I would personally go back and ruin shows rather than watch them lol

I would;
- Meet Jesus.
- See the Dinosaurs.
- Invent fire.
- Kill Hitler as a child. (Would that be wrong? He was innocent then... hmm..)
- Kill Adam and have sex with Eve.

edot: - And smoke some marijuana with Bob Marley

Pink Floyd - Division Bell tour
Dispatch - The Last Dispatch - July 31st, 2004
Muse - Wembley stadium - June 16th & 17th, 2007

Yeah, my time machine wouldn't really have a lot of mileage put on it.

The tour where Cliff Burton died.
I would warn them, even if they don't believe me, they'll be like oh ****.

Then I'll forsee St. Anger, that should stop that.

Obviously there would are a thousand things I'd do with a time machine before I used it to see a band, but my first choice would be:

The original Pretenders Line up. There is no other acceptable answer.
