So,
I have my tube head at home, and I want to clean it up because there's this hiss when I turn the treble up. I left my cab at our practice spot because I didn't want to carry it along with me. but to check if this hiss is gone I'll need to turn the amp on. can I just connect an old hi-fi speaker to the amp?(by connecting the wires of the speaker to an old guitar cable) I won't play through it, but I just need some kind of cab or speaker dummy so that I won't destroy my amp.
A hero of war, Yeah that's what I'll be

hmmm if the wattages of the speaker is higher than that of the hifi maybe.
i always thought that you need special speakers? sterio and mono speakers? you can try but i wouldnt suggest turning it up or there might be boom. wait forget what i said before! i was thinking only need to match ohms and watts. k? i misread i thought you meant hifi system lol. go ahead along a you match the independences or youll screw ur amp head!
