a friend of mine recently got a MIJ telecaster cheap off ebay, but the 'fender' decal on the headstock looks like its been sanded off or something, so all you can make out is

*e***as*t**

i was wondering whther there would be anyway to restore it and how much it waould cost to do? thanks in advance

It's not like there would be a second decal under a certain amount of wood, You'd probably have to buy your own decal and put it on yourself

Robbo, what you need to do is something like this:

That is how you make your own.

Or you can simply buy one on ebay.

If you were to buy one, just sand the old logo off completely, stick the new one on, and clear coat over it. Then finish sand and buff.
