Vox for your style.

Get a used AC-30. Not entirely sure how much they are in the US but they're a little more than £400.

Um. an AC30 is the complete wrong amp for those styles. And they go for a lot more then 400 DOLLARS. Not pounds.

A vox AD30 would be pretty good though

Don't get a spider unless it's for home practice. The 75w is an oversized piece of crap. And an AC30 isn't really for your style either, not to mention they're far out of your budget. Maybe look at some used tube amps (Peavey Classic 30 comes to mind) or if you're not in a band check out better modelers like the Vox ADVTs or Peavey Vypyr.

WOW. Line 6 Spiders SUCK, and stop trying to promote yourself.

I recommend a used Classic 30, Valveking, maybe even a Vox Valvetronix. Try them all out and see which ones you like the best!

you seriously reported him for spam? wow

the C30 WILL not help him for any metal. The Peavey Vypyrs are good, especially with the amount of extra features, the Vox AD30vt isn't that bad either. If you want metal tones and have that kind of budget, i don't recommend going tube just yet. you could look at the Vypyr, Vox, or Cube, or you could just hold off and save more

Wrong. The C30 can certainly do "classic metal" with a boost.
#14
^ but he didn't state classic metal. He said Grunge and SOME metal

Yes the C30 can do SOME hard rock and classic metal stuff but you do need extras to get it into that territory. A used C30 in a good condition will probably be around $350-400 + $$ for boosts, muff, etc.

If he's willing to go used he should be okay. I got my C30 for 425 with a speaker and tube upgrades.

But tbh the C30 doesn't really have the best gain for grunge or metal.
I think a vypyr might be a pretty good choice

Ehh, the Grunge pedal isn't the best for distortion, especially if your going to be using it on the clean channel of the C30. Metal Muff anyone?

If you are in a band/gigging get an above mentioned used tube amp.

For practice in your room, get a peavy vypyr or maybe a vibro champ.
