If I put new tubes in my Crate V18, will it stop buzzing loudly? It's done this since the day I got and it's very annoying.

If not, I want to put new tubes in anyway, so what kind do you recommend and what's a good place to get them from?

Thanks

where is the 'buzzing' coming from? and can you further describe the buzzing?

I'm not very technical with amps, so to me it just sounds like it's comping from the speaker area. It sounds almost like bees, and is worse when the cable is not plugged into my guitar. When something is plugged into the same outlet as the amp, the buzzing gets louder.

I have a pedal, but the amp makes the same noise with and without the pedal.

Buzz. It kind of sounds like helicopters or something. Not as loud lol. But it's not the same note, it fluctuates.

Well, subbing out the tubes could help.
If that doesn't help, it's maybe a speaker problem or something is loose.

Anyways, tubedepot.com is a good place to buy tubes.
JJ makes awesome EL84s, and for your 12ax7(s), i'd go for either a Tungsol or JJ.

Thanks, I'll check them out.
And Greenwood, it's not really a light buzzing. I can hear it from the room on the opposite side of my upstairs (which is pretty big)
I'll also look into the speakers.

Thanks again.
