Light a match and throw it down
Take a seat and watch them drown
Grab some popcorn and watch the fight
One of these men will lose their sight
They will lose all of their passion
Just like a fad or a fashion
They will quit and throw in the towel
Walking away saying things that are foul
His wife leaves him for lack of money
All he can say is: "I'm sorry, honey!"

Are you having trouble?
Call this number!
Are you lost in the rubble?
You will wake from your slumber!

A painter draws a million pictures
Not even stoping to change light fictures
He barely leaves his art
This life slowly becomes tart
One day he isn't interested
For it has been years since he has been tested
He applies for a job at a store
Hoping that here he will find more
He loses his job and loses his house
Not only that but also his spouse

Are you having trouble?
Call this number!
Are you lost in the rubble?
You will wake from your slumber!

A woman kills all of her husbands
From each of them she inherits diamonds
Each man she kills she loves less than the last
She walks away from their graves and away from her past
One day she meets a man unlike the rest
To kill him might just be a test
Each date she begins to love him more
He seems to have reached her heart's core
One day she sees him with another woman
All of her anger and rage is summoned
That night on there fourth date she poisons his wine
The man opens a small box with a ring inside
He asks her to marry him and she begins to cry
He had not been cheating but instead been out to buy
The man passes out and is determined dead
The woman is suddenly filled with dread
She admits to killing her lover and is sent to jail
She becomes weak and quite frail
She dies in less than a week
"I loved him" were the last words she would speak

Are you having trouble?
Call this number!
Are you lost in the rubble?
You will wake from you slumber!

The last verse is a little shaky and longer than the rest. Other than that it's pretty good. What kind of music are you playing

i think carmen electra would be a good band leader. i'd stay in the band just 'cause she's hot.

Well, it's for a county competition in the songwriting section. I've seen last years winner and it seems easy to top. Mainly, because not many people have been entering the songwriting sectiono of the contest. I have a two-man band called "Lovers and Lookers," and we've recorded guitar parts for a song but the mic I have makes my voice sound different when I record,so I'm having a hard time using my normal melodic voice so I'm thinking about trying to scream which would be hard to do with this song,so unless I get some better recording equipment, I probaly will never record this song.

Is it like a folky kind of country or Just normal. I kinda pictured the song sounding like garbage or that spiderwebs song which I cannot remember the band who made it

Just normal.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "spiderwebs song" because I've never heard of it. When you say "garbage," do you mean like bad,or the band Garbage?
