Prog Rock? Has to be CAMEL. They are amazing.
Check them:

For some not so known stuff, check Arena. They are Neoprogressive rock and metal.

Also Knight Area.

Oriental Prog metal.
Amaseffer:
Amazing band Amaseffer, published their first CD in the 2008, "Slaves For Life". It's a concept CD telling the story of the Jewish slaves of Egypt, since the birth of Moses until they get out of Egypt. It is very symphonic, and has a lot of ancient Oriental music influence. AMAZING album. It feels like if you were watching a movie. Certainly has a lot of elements from movies music. If you want it, send me a PM. I have it on a server. I hugely recommend it. Probably one of the most unique bands out there.
Here's a song. Sadly, the quality of the video isn't very good.

Orphaned Land:
An older band and very recognized in the middle east. Progressive Death Metal. However, their last CD, "Mabool", features a way more oriental and progressive touch than their last CD's. Mabool (huge rain in Hebrew) tells the story of the arc of Noah.
Here's a song. Also an incredibly recommended album.

Yes

wat?
Pink Floyd is awesome, but they aren't prog . All what IMO can be close to prog is Echoes.

How?
Most of their tunes follow the basic verse - chorus pattern. True, they changed everything. Doesn't mean that they are prog . For prog rock of that time I'd say "King Crimson" for example.

Pink Floyd is psychedelic rock, not prog.... there is a difference.

Anyway.... a lot of good ones have already been listed, but i'm going to add:

Gong
The Soft Machine
Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention

If you need more recommendations, look around the 80s, Shred, and Prog forum in Bands and Artists.
