deactivate this network of socialites.
reinstate my faith with a greater good.
for yesterday i was nothing more than a coward,
walking away from the things i hadn't understood.

horse blinders and cattle tranquilizers,
just to get me through next year.
only the important,
camouflaged behind people for who we dont care.

i suppose there's a chance
i'm just a litte too shallow to consider
that maybe i've been a little more eager
each day to wake up and take a shower
brush my teeth and smile for the mirror

you have a great talent for short and concise and this piece was both. However, it was also poetic and an enjoyable read. thats y only comment because its far too late for anything else

Nice. Simple, yet there is enough there for one to be able to delve deeper than the surface.

You know something; your stuff is extremely depressing. You are one of the most sadening writers on here. Along with rushmore and Stellar_legs.

This was glorious.

geez, that was really great. i've grown to hate rhyming as a poetic device (which is a bit of a problem for me) but this really clicked me back in.

the brevity of it was also a great thing. overall, something that i enjoyed.
