ive got a 30w Vypyr, you can get so many different sounds out of that thing, definately some Alternative if you want to spend some time playing around with it for a while. There is a bit of a learning curve, and you MUST read the manual. But with a built in tuner and all those effects, espessially with the Sanpera II Footpedal, youll love it.

Ive been told that Modelling amps like this arent that great for gigging, but im no pro, so someone else is gonna have to help ya out with this one.
I have a Peavey Ultra that I'm pretty happy with. Also check out a Sovtek Mig (poor man's Marshall) or a Laney.
