New amp, the pickups aren't going to change your tone enough to get the tone you want. What's your budget?

Save up some more money and get a Peavey Vyper or a Roland Cube.

Like everyone has already said - new pickups aren't going to change your tone enough to satisfy you.

Check out these two amps that thsrayas mentioned - you really can't go wrong with either one.

Not the ones in your price range, the Vyper and Cube are better than Spiders.

Well the 15W is already in your price range, but if you're willing to save a little more then go for the 30W, the larger speaker will help make it sound better and if you ever want to jam with somebody you'll be able to keep up with the drummer easier.

everyone on heres pretty much been right. i say dont worry about pickups at all until you have a fairly high-end rig. so save up for a used vypyr 30, and you'll be good to go
periphery/bulb!

gear:
Ibanez RG7321 w/ D-sonic in bridge

Peavey 5150 mk ii & b52 4x12 cab

line 6 podxt for recording

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
