Ok, so I've stopped myself from anchoring but I've noticed that I rest my forearm on the top of the guitar whenever I play. Will this stop me from progressing more easily or give me problems later? Or is it just anchoring that is said to be a problem?

Whats wrong with anchoring? My right hands usually anchored and my forearms always on the guitar.

It promotes tension and limits your range of movement.

TS: Go to the technique forum, the one where there is a thread discussing anchoring in great detail and warning others not to post threads on anchoring because we already have a thread that discusses anchoring in great detail.
Someones knowledge of guitar companies spelling determines what amps you can own. Really smart people can own things like Framus because they sound like they might be spelled with a "y" but they aren't.
