Last night a guy I work with called and asked if my son needed an amp. I told him he didn't since he bought a Valve King 212 last summer.

So... I asked him what he had:

Line 6 Spider II HD150, solid state amp with 2 x 75 watt outputs

Fender Flex-Tone 412 cabinet

All for $100

I went ahead and bought it. Overall it sounds pretty decent and it's loud.

I know what the head is (SS 150w Head, no biggie), but I cannot seem to find any information on the cabinet. It looks a lot like the Fender Super-Sonic. Actually it looks almost exactly like it.

Anybody have any ideas on the cabinet I just bought?

Line 6 makes the Flextone series, not Fender.

So its either a Line 6 Flextone cab or its a Fender of some sort.

I would normally never recommend a SS Spider head, but for what you paid I guess it's OK. Maybe try selling the head now and getting a better head?

And as i_am_metalhead said, the Flextone cab would most likely be a Line6 with a Fender badge, or the guy who sold it to you doesn't know his stuff.

Well, color me n00bish...

It's a Tone Master 412 cabinet.

I was able to take the handle off the side to get into it and there are 4 Vintage 30's mounted in the cabinet.

The back plate states it's 280w at 16 ohms.

It's closed back.

How do I get the front screen off?

sir, i would like to inform you that you are now my favorite UGer. Not only did you use the word y'all, which is native to my homeland, but you correctly punctuated it using the apostrophe.

Yeah - you could probably get $50 easy for each speaker so well done. You should get a picture up here. You are in nashville too? You shouldn't have any problems selling that. Or keep it

why do you want to take front panel off? don't scratch it up now.

I guess I don't really need to get the front screen off. I was mostly curious as to how to access the internals of the cabinet if I needed too. I should have clarified that!

Thanks for the replies guys.
