Hi all, im just wondering If a linr 6 pod through a tube amp like a peavey classic would still generate good sounds or if it would just end up coloring the tone to much that it wouldnt be worth it.

Opinions? thanks.

I would also like to have this question answered. What happens when you run modeled effects through tube amps?

It's subjective, but I think tubes add life to the tone. When i run most (not all) of my modeling through a PA it sounds to thin to me.

nah guys, your missing the point.

you want tube modeling, use the pod through the desk or PA. You want tubes, ditch the pod.

you dont have to take my word for it, but I can say having tried it personally, that the tone out of such a set up is neither as good as the pod on its own, nor the tube amp on its own.

it really does not sound good.
Cursed to one day crash and burn because we fly so god damn high.

you can always throw the POD into the fx loop return or the power amp in, but your tone will sound better if you just ditch the POD.
