Ukraine closed the Russian gas pipeline two days ago. My country and a few others are depending heavily upon on that gas. Actually its winter now, and there is a high risk of there will be not enough gas to supply the households heating.

The winter is cold here. Without gas people are ****ed. No warm homes, no warm baths, etc.

A few factories (for example: a big car manufactory) stopped and sent the workers home.

If everyone would change to electrical heating here (some people can't buy anything more than daily bread not even electrical heaters) the countrys electrical system would shut down.

^^The story gets interesting around the second half of the page

At the moment there is no gas in Serbia. This could be a death sentence against the old people of those countries.

TS, sucks for you man, is it illegal what they're doing? If not there's not much else that can be done until you find another supplier I suppose.

It is a political "war" between Russia and Ukraine, so even if it could **** up lives of millions, it is not considered as illegal.

Once again it seem's that the world is controlled by a bunch of school yard children.

I'm guessing some one, will be making a hell of a lot of money out of this.

Overdependance is the key-word. Countries like these should try to brake free from Russian supply and diversify theyre sources.

There is a effort by the EU to get independent from Russia by the pipeline "Nabucco", but it is just a plan now.

However, i am curious about the EU, it hasn't made too much positive inpact at this country, there is much more negative things.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.... Sadly, no one has ever given a sh*t about Ukraine (except Nestor Makhno). The Ukraine has been raped by so many countries and nobody bothers to even lift a finger.

Ahh, so you guys are from Ukraine.

Now i have a warning for you:

You don't wanna get into the EU. Being a weak country in the EU like my country, or Ukraine would be just sucks. In the first years they will give your country some money, but then they will make up some bs reason, and you will have to pay back more money than you get.
My country just pays back more money to the EU than it will ever get.

Also the EU don't give a **** about your country's political criminals, and your relationship and problems with other countrys.

But you can get the actual rubbish of bigger countrys and the expired **** food.

Your parliament will not have real power in the bigger questions, your country will be "driven" from Brussels.

Also the big monetary organizations like the European Central Bank will rape your countrys economy constantly.

So basically you will get no borders for paying an assload of money and being constantly raped by the EU.

My nations criminal leaders and the EU combined made my country from the one of the leading and most developing country to a decaying country on the edge of economical breakdown. In just six years.

In six years they make it to there is no real vision in front of the youth of the nation, especially in the universities.
Everybody, including me, thinking about leave this country, hell we could get more money for harvesting grape and apple in better countrys than here after collecting the worlds one of the hardest engineer degree.

That's a horrible story, I feel for anyone who would be without heat in the cold of winter.

I hate to sound this way, but I think that you are headed for war if not resolved quickly.

Japan attacked the US at Pearl Harbor because their fuel supplies were critically low due to the US shutting them off.

Seems like that whole region is a big mess, I hope this gets resolved for you and everyone involved.
