If this is in the painting thread I couldn't find it. Is it alright to say prime a guitar and then put the paint on in the same day like 3 hours later or something, or are you supposed to wait 24 hours after doing the primer before applying the actual paint coat?

Depends something like spray paint will dry pretty quick. Some paints will need longer dry times.

They are spray paints. I believe the primer can says dry to touch in an hour...I don't have the can with me at the moment but pretty sure that's what it says.

I'd say about 240 BPM in 5/8 time.

I would read the can, I've had some cans say that you should apply coats an hour after or 24 hours after, but not in between. I've also seen that you should leave it to set for 3 days before sanding, there's quite a few different techniques. Google ReReanch and see what they say, they have some great tutorials.
