I decided to write a song relevant to my life. This song is about my girlfriend, and yes I know it's very cheesy and cliche but it had to be done.
Check out my other works and let me know any feedback/criticism you may have, C4C. Thanks.

Verse 1:
There was dew left on the grass
From the night before
But we didn't care, no
Couldn't miss this chance to live

It all just seemed to click
And fall right into place
You give me new reason
Breathe joy back in my lungs

Verse 2:
Even through rain you shine
Lighting up my path
I'm sure that it's the right way
I'm sure you're all mine

When I feel your skin
Warmly collide with mine
It's obvious we're dealing
With things beyond our grasp

Verse 3:
Right under my nose
How could I not have seen
Should have found this treasure sooner
But that's just the way things are

Now that we found bliss
Let's seal it with a kiss
Don't ever let me go now
Don't leave me here like this

Pre-Chorus:
I need to know if this is meant to last
Can we help ourselves overcome our past?
Cause I'll have you know that

Chorus:
Though it's not been long
You mean so much to me
You have opened up my eyes
You don't know
How much you mean to me
So darling, let's save our goodbyes

I don't recommend passive pickups for any kind of blues tone. Ideally, you'd want a passive pickup with a reasonably low level of output.

Yeah that's the plan, fingerpicking acoustic verse and intro, with a sliiiight distortion backing the chorus. I'll let you know if/when I record it, and thanks for the comment
