I dont know about the AR-108 but i own the S2170FW and it playes and sounds great.Very versitile!

What music styles do you play? Both guitars are radically different.

i'd assume the old one, assuming it's legit and in decent condition etc.. i haven't tried that specific model, but late 70s/early 80s Japanese-made instruments have a great reputation, and for good reason (based on the examples I've tried).
