What do you guys do with your old picks after you've you've worn them down where you don't like to play with them anymore? I've got a bunch that I don't know what to do with, any ideas? Searched, btw.

If you're EQ'd loose, you'll sound loose anyway.

Just throw them out. If they become so worn that I don't like using them then I just throw them out. There's no use having them around.

Set them up at a shooting range and try your aim.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

This.

There's nothing stranger than opening up an envelope full of dead guitar picks.

Pick gnomes steal mine before they get worn down

Yeah the pick gnomes usually get mine before they've worn down, but if they do wear down I cut them so they're sharper and then file down the edges. TA DA! New pick. I can post a pic of the finshed product if anybody wants.

Picks wear out?

I still have some from my first box of 12 Fender celluloid picks five years ago.

If they did wear out though, I'd probably do some art thing with them.

I have a bracelet instead. But yeah.
I'm Joel. I play guitar. I am a student. I look at the cost of tuition, not in a dollar value, but in the guitars I'm sacrificing now, to be able to buy later.

I light them on fire. Picks burn like you wouldn't believe, especially the celluloid ones.

*I take no responsibility if you injure yourself or destroy any property trying this out. It is, however, awesome.

ive actually never purchased a pick in my life.
before i ever learned guitar, all my friends played, so there were always picks sitting around my house. and whenever i cant find one i just finger pick. infact, i finger pick almost all the time, regardless of what im playing.

and there was only one pick i ever really wore out. it had a huge dip in it from where i scraped in on a string.
