Looks like he's whoring himself out some more. And forcing Epiphone to make his HZ-equipped special-order shape I see no advantage of over an SG available to all the young shredders.

Wow, ripping a Dean. He's a bigger ass than I thought.

i though he already had that guitar out, he's been using a similar one except in B&W bulls eye for a while

Gibson custom-shop model. ZW-fanboy friend of mine linked me it when it came out.

I'm really not a fan of any of the Zakk Wylde products. I've yet to play one that I've liked.

It actually doesn't look so bad, even if he is a complete sig whore. I only wish it had an ebony fretboard, personally.

And as for the shape, I like this one a bit better than the Dean, which doesn't look proportioned right. The V shape on the Dean one seems too long and narrow.

zakk's been double dipping in the signature guitar pool. you have one so just stick with it.

This guitar has popped up SOOO many times on UG. If you dig through the searchbar you should find some other threads on this. Actually it was a Gibson design to start off with. I posted a pic somewhere on here showing a green Gibson SGV, I'll try to find it....

If you think these look bad, you haven't seen anything yet...

I love how he's taking credit for Dimebags guitar.

When it comes to a dean-style guitar, EVERY one is Dime's apparently.

I thought his main guitar shape was the razorback and ML though...

Anyways, looks ok. I'd definitely take it over the Dean Splittail.

Looks stupid in black. The bullseye real Gibson one is sick though.

Dude, I dont like him, or his music, or anything.
But his LP's are SICK.

but this is one of the biggest bastardazations of two already unattractive guitars ever.

Like, if you took an SG and a V, and they had a crack baby together, and then you beat said crack baby with a lead-paint-coated shovel repeatedly and maid said crack baby lick the shovel after every blow. You would have this guitar.
We've dressed up in our best...

The Marcus Henderson sig is better. I hate the fact how Epi says the fingerboard is Ebony, but it's just darker rosewood.

Idk. BC Rich occasionally does that with Floyd Roses, saying their Original when some are licensed.

Dean made his first, then Gibson made it.

Did noone see that green SGV I posted in this thread? Gibson had a lot of odd guitar ideas in the early 60's with this being one of them. Like most of the crazy looking models it got discontinued. Whenever more radical companies popped up in the late 70's (Dean, BC Rich, etc) these designs were rediscovered/revamped into what you see today. Gibson made the design but Dean was the first company to really run with it.

And to correct TSelman.. "Well Dime USED an ML. Dime DESIGNED the Razorback." For the record, the ML shape was an original Dean design, it was named after Mr. Zelinsky's friend Matt Lyn after he died.
