A friend has some white wine laying around, which was opened about 3 months ago.

I know it isn't exactly fresh anymore, wine experts say it isn't drinkable after a week.

He was asking if there could be some kind of stomach symptoms from drinking old wine. Are there? He said it tasted fine, smelled like mead and has lost some acid.

I know asking the pit isn't the best possible bet, but it can't hurt.

It was opened 3 months ago and has not turned into vinegar?

It wouldn't kill him, but I'm pretty sure it'll taste like vinegar.

Wine that old will make your stomach rot from the inside out, eventually his guts will be spilling all over the place. Make the funeral arrangements now.

Was it corked or left open?

If it was corked it should be alright.

I'm not sure if it's the same with white wine, but red wine tastes like vinegar after a few weeks.

Nope, even if the cork was put back in the wine will still react with the oxygen in the air inside the bottle.

I wouldn't touch it... My roommate and I drank a few weeks old red wine and were nauseous for a few hours after. It tasted kinda off but we drank it for some reason.. we're kinda stupid sometimes.

You could possibly cook with it?

Just get some more.
On vacation from modding = don't pm me with your pish

presumably it would have vinegarated by now, which means it won't be drinkable.

this, but if its a liquid it still is drinkable. Tell your friend to drink it and watch him puke all over himself.
