Ok well i've got a delay pedal on order and a Korg Mini-Kaoss pad. I've also got a Boss DS-1 and a Vox V847 wah.

My amp is a Vox AC30 and i'm wondering how i should arrange my pedals to keep that nice british tube tone when the pedals are bypassed whilst getting a nice clear prog rock sound when the pedals are engaged.

Is is best to have the distortion before or after effects like flanger and band-pass (which is what the korg does) and wah's etc.?

Also, i've heard the Kaoss pad half's the volume of the guitar so is there something i can use as like a signal booster?

thanks

A place I found helpful is http://www.masht.com/guitars/order_of_effects.htm

It doesn't just tell you what to do, but why also.

Hope it helps.

hey that's a great site thanks!

i don't really know what kind of boost pedal i should get though, i want something that doesn't affect the tone and they don't seem to be very abundant.

thanks

I'm not sure, but have you tried running it through the Effects loop?

Also, a blackstar boost may suit you.
