My dad has had it and its been around my house all my life I used to play with it when i was young and my brother playd with it to. Im not sure what kind of guitar this is so if someone could help me out by tellin me what it is and if its worth being restored I Would really appreciate it Thanks.

yeah, looks like an old-ass SG. i'd take it to a pro and see what he says. If the neck and/or body are cracked, warped or twisted too badly it might not be worth restoring, as it would never sound in tune. but if it's just old and needs a tune-up, then definitely go for it. they don't make 'em like they used to.

Yeah, looks like an SG. Could you take a pic of the front of the headstock? Or at least tell what it says?

It does look like an sg but I think it's a copy by the way the headstock was pointed. Vintage at any point. I'd restore for the family values.

What does the writing on it say, any names? looks like an old SG, but with that scratchplate im not sure if it is a gibson.
