So, I'm finally ordering my Blackheart Little Giant Halfstack. But will it come with a speaker cable to connect the head and cab or will I need to buy one seperately?

My 6505+ head came with a speaker cable... I imagine they'd send you one, but don't quote me on that.

Great....

Well, could someone recommend me a good, cheap cable? As in no more than $15?

I have no idea. Depends on when I finally place the order.

I'm thinking I'll just go support my local music store and buy a cable there. They carry Planet Waves and I know they make good stuff.

EDIT: Actually, it will probably ship on Monday, and the MF shipping center isn't very far from where I live, so usually it's just a 1 or 2 day delivery. So hopefully by Wednesday or Thursday I'll have a beautiful new Blackheart

Thanks!

I'm all tingly and excited and really anxious inside right now. I wantz my amp NAOWZ! :p

In the meantime I'll be frantically trying to find a camera that works properly so I can get pics of my new baby up (although I'm a bit afraid of being flamed for the Squier I'll be plugging into it)

^hey

Make sure when you first bring it in to let the entire amp warm up to room temp.

Turn it on and let it sit for 5 minutes and just stare at the power tubes if you want.

Play/Profit.

oh, worst case get one of those disposable cameras at Walgreens and then ask to have it developed onto CD only.

I need me some fresh Blackheart pronage.

I've already built up a small army of general knowledge for tube amps, so I plan on taking my time with pics and such through the entire unpackaging, moving, plugging, heating, and finally playing process. Won't have clips or anything, and I'll feel wierd reviewing it since I'm an uber-n00b who really sucks pretty badly right now, but I know it'll probably make my little Frontman 15G spontaneously combust when I play her virgin power chord

GAHHH!!!!! I'm so excited. Order was placed about 5 minutes ago. Standard shipping stated 2-5 business days, more than likely it will be 2 because of my close proximity to an MF shipping center.

And even if they're owned by the same company, this is like a big FU! to Guitar Center for their imcompetant employee who took me to a "Bogner Designed" Line 6 Spider that cost about $600 and sounded like crap when I told him I wanted a versatile, but cheap, tube amp. I really hate GC.

And I was really upset that my local shop doesn't carry Crate anymore. I would have been insanely happy if they carried Crate because then I could help out a local business, but oh well. I'll just make sure I buy strings, straps, cables, etc. from them.

Yeah I know. Trust me, I know Blackhearts almost backward and forward. I've been researching for a LONG time on them. Like I said, I was disappointed because my local shop isn't a Crate dealer anymore, hence no ability to order a Blackheart through them.

I don't think so. Blackheart is just a division of Crate that makes totally different (and IMO better) amps. They kind of have a bit of a classic Marshall-y vibe, while Crate amps just.....I don't know, they sound like a Crate amp.

I realise they are completely seperate amps growing up and are not the same thing.

You've done more research than I. What I was saying is that it was my understanding that the owner of both Crate and Blackheart (Onyx or Axe or something) was getting the Crate V production moved over to Blackheart amps and they were going to move forward with the Blackheart name - at least for the $200 - $600 guitar amp space (the V series space)?

any truth to that?

Agreed, except for the Shockwave, it's sort of a VH-140 clone. Really nice amp.
