I've got an old guitar that I like to strum the heck out of. I noticed that I've chipped a fair amount of wood away from right above the pickguard at the bottom of the soundhole. I was just wondering if it was just me, or if anyone else tends to do this.
I did that to my Art & Lutherie cedar top. The paint in that one spot is all gone.

My marks and scratches are actually all on the pickguard and the body (even past the bridge! ) of my Takamine. Unfortunately it doesn't look very cool to have a beat up black laminate guitar. Now, if I get a higher quality black guitar, then I will definately make sure some cool relicing action happens to it.
